Introducing Saif Farooq and Jessica John!
Saif and Jessica were chosen by the Academic Competitions Department of Chicago Public Schools to participate in the Summer Career Readiness Program, based on their outstanding academic achievements. Macaroni KID Chicago Northside feels incredibly fortunate to welcome Saif and Jessica as Junior Reporters for the 2022 summer!
Saif (pronounced like "laugh"), was actually with us last summer, and wrote many articles. He will be entering his senior year at Lane Tech in the fall. He is an excellent writer, soccer player, and has the heart of an entrepreneur.
Jessica has graduated from Lane Tech and will attend Case Western in the fall. She has written for f(earth)er magazine, and created an original social media campaign for Cradles2Crayons.
Saif and Jessica both live on the northside, and will be helping to provide a unique perspective, on things to do and places to go, for teens in Chicago.
As a mom of teens on the rise, I am so excited to learn from them!
