NEdM takes pride in the intimate learning environment it offers. We provide lessons in a rigorous, yet joyful manner.
Ages 4-7: Musical Garden. 1 hour per week in group instruction (max 10 children.)
Age 7 and above: Three 4-year cycles of advancement based on exams and performance.
- Parents are invited and encouraged to attend lessons.
- Other instruments are available for rent through non-affiliated NEdM partners.
- All of NEdM's teachers are internationally acclaimed performing educators who are passionate about teaching young people the wonders of music.
- Piano students will learn and play on Steinway B Hamburg and Bösendorfer 225 concert grand pianos.
Our warm and inviting conservatory space is conveniently located near many local elementary schools, at 2232 W. Irving Park Road. The school is easily accessed via the CTA Brown Line (Irving Park stop), or Buses 80 (Irving Park), 50 (Damen), or 49 (Western.)
We're open everyday from 8am to 10pm.
- Group lessons and children-youth choirs occur during the weekend.
- Adult department, during the week between 6pm-10pm and also weekends according to teacher(s)/student(s) scheduling.
