Pilgrim offers a dynamic preschool program that encourages children ages three through five to explore their world and develop a love of learning - in a nurturing classroom environment, where they feel safe and supported!

A 1:10 teacher to student ratio in Pre-K ensures that all children receive the personal attention they need to grow and thrive. Students are supported in achieving their individual goals, while developing strong foundational math and literacy skills through hands-on activities and intentional play.

Preschoolers at Pilgrim also receive weekly instruction in a variety of "specials" - including Spanish, art, music, PE, and social emotional learning. In addition, as a faith-based school, children attend short chapel services on Wednesday mornings, where they are inspired to care for others and their community - including through our school-wide service learning activities!

Pilgrim provides flexibility in our preschool classes to meet each family’s needs, with various scheduling options. Children may attend five mornings a week (with the option of adding on extended learning afternoons) - or five full days. Before-school and after-school care programs are available.

Business Review

“PreK at Pilgrim has been the perfect way to introduce our child to the concept of school. The play-based curriculum allows students to explore their interests with the support of their teacher. Pilgrim's small class sizes meant that our child could develop a one on one relationship with his teacher, which was invaluable to his socio-emotional development. We appreciate that the curriculum is flexible, and can adapt to student needs - and that students across grade levels have the opportunity to interact and learn from one another. It is clear that the teachers know, understand and see our child. Because of their care and investment in creating a meaningful, fun learning environment, our child loves going to school!” - Molly D.

“What [our child] is learning truly resonates with her. She was so happy to share how PreK earned a reward for planting seeds of kindness! Thank you so much for inspiring her everyday, and for your continued dedication and partnership.” - Email from Maria L. to preschool teacher

“We cannot say enough about how much we have loved the warm and engaging environment at Pilgrim. As a parent of two kids, one of whom did PreK and Kindergarten elsewhere and one of whom did PreK and Kindergarten at Pilgrim, we have a huge appreciation for the play-based approach that Pilgrim takes to early childhood education. Our younger son is thriving at Pilgrim, where he is allowed to learn at his own pace and in ways that feel fun!” - Laura C.

"Pilgrim is such a welcoming, inclusive community that has excellent academics, social-emotional support, and offers arts education in every grade. We have two children at the school and it has been such a great place for our kids to thrive and receive personalized attention that they were not getting at CPS previously.  The teachers really care about each child and I have been so impressed with the level of communication between parent and teacher - I see how much my kids' teachers genuinely care about my kids as individuals." - M.B.
