Our Baby Blue program helps build the foundational skills your child needs for a lifetime of swimming safety. A parent or caregiver must accompany the child in the water, and our instructors guide the baby and adult through fun, skill-building activities. Our baby swim curriculum is mainly focused on teaching infants swim safety and improving your child’s comfort level in the pool.
Our Bright Blue program is structured for little swimmers ages 3 to 5 to further acclimate them to the swimming pool. Our swim lessons for toddlers are social and engaging, allowing your child to learn valuable skills while having fun. Ideal for beginners learning the ropes, our preschool swimming classes help build a strong foundation of skills, such as water safety. We utilize fun songs, stories, games, and colorful pool toys to introduce basic swimming skills your child will build on every time they get in the pool.
The Bold Blue program at Big Blue Swim School features swimming lessons for beginners ages 6 and up. It is designed for new swimmers with little to no experience in the water and serves as a next step for younger children who move up through the Big Blue curriculum. The goals of this program include water safety for beginner swimmers, improving confidence in the water, and building fundamental skills that your children can utilize for the rest of their lives.
At the Big Blue level, we offer 45-minute, more advanced, competitive swimming lessons. Big Blue lessons are fun and goal-oriented, focusing on refining the following skills:
- Building well-rounded, confident swimmers
- Practicing and refining the breaststroke, backstroke, butterfly, and freestyle (front crawl)
- Improving endurance and the ability to swim 1,000 feet without stopping
- Preparing and practicing for swim team
- Swimming in larger groups as a team (up to seven students)
