ABOUT THE BBR! BAND
The BBR Band (Being Bilingual Rocks Band) is led by nationally touring Parents Choice Award Winners andrecording artists Mi Amigo Hamlet and Alina Celeste. They are joined by musician and GRAMMY® nominated Chicago music producer Richard Rankin, and blues rock guitarist Leo Walsh. Together they weave an eclectic blend of original and traditional songs from Latin America, taking families on a musical journey with a fusion of latin, bossanova, rumba-flamenco, contemporary Caribbean, blues rock
beats and bluegrass flavors.
The Being Bilingual Rocks! Project
The BBR Band have created a bilingual, community-driven concert series mixed with art for the Chicagoland area called, The WHIM Chicago - Being Bilingual Rocks! Experience. In a live, one of a kind experience, they share a broad spectrum of music with a rotating variety of music artists, visual artists and dancers from all genres.
Their venue partner is Lakeview’s WHIM CHICAGO @Stage773 located at 1225 W. Belmont Ave, Chicago, IL. The concerts will be held in their Enchanted Forest performance room and Lobby of Second Chances lounge.
