By Debra Flanagan, Macaroni KID Chicago Northside June 7, 2023

Struggling with what to do this Father's Day? We've got you covered!
We've rounded up our favorite, out-of-the-box, ideas for spending the day with good 'ol dad.

Give the Gift of Outdoor Adventure

  • The Forge: Lemont Quarries. Zipline over quarry lakes, climb the country's largest high ropes challenge courses, play laser tag or archery battle tag, casually explore miles of flat hiking, running, and biking trails with friends and family.
  • WhoaZone at Whihala Beach is the area’s best kept secret featuring a beautiful white sandy beach on Lake Michigan, lots of parking, restrooms, concessions and a safe place for summer family fun!

Go on an Escape

  • The Abbey Resort celebrates Father’s Day Sunday, June 18, 2023 by inviting all fathers, grandfathers and father figures to relax, rejuvenate and unwind at Lake Geneva’s only full service resort. Dads can escape and indulge with a Harborside Champagne Brunch from 9am-1pm and/or enjoy live entertainment during the Burnin’ Down the Docks music series from 12pm–5pm.
