Looking for kid-friendly New Year's Eve events around Chicago? We've got your list of Dec. 31 family-friendly events and even some Eve of the Eve to get the party started even sooner!

Eve of the Eve (December 30th) Family Events Around Chicago:

Evanston

Little Beans Cafe
Ring in the new year early….kid style. Little Beans will have a fun NYE celebration with a DJ, pizza, punch, play, NYE swag, and a countdown to a balloon drop.
Tickets are needed for kids over 12 months. Adults are free. $35 per child. 2 Adults are allowed per registration. Extra adults are $10 each.

Lincolnwood

Lincolnwood Library
Celebrate the “Noon” Year with the library featuring songs, books, and a balloon drop to ring in the new year.

Near North

Bubbles Academy
Ring in the NOON year at Bubbles! Jam out to a concert with Miss Mel, create your own NYE crown, and countdown to the new year with a Bubble-filled finale!

Skokie

Oakton Community Center
Ring in 2023 at this fun family event! Festivities include dancing, games, prizes, crafts, Exploritorium play, count down, and balloon drop at noon.
Advance ticket purchase is required for his event. Space is limited. The Exploritorium will be open on 12/30 for event goers only. All adults and children (1 and above) must purchase a ticket for the event.

Price includes a welcome drink (non-alcoholic option available for kids or upon request), 3 course prix fixe dinner, New Year’s toast (non-alcoholic option available for kids or upon request) and New Year’s party favors. Dinner choices due by Dec. 26th.

Celebrate a family-friendly NYE at Roots Handmade Pizza! All are welcome for an early "countdown."  A ticket is required to partake in this event. There is no charge for this event, but tables are limited. Your Eventbrite "ticket" secures you a table reservation for either 1-4 guests or 1-6 guests. Ticket includes a "countdown" to the new year, party favors, a complimentary toast (alcoholic and non-alcoholic), and sodas for the table. Families can ring in the New Year with "Cheers Heard Around the World" at SafeHouse Chicago on New Year's Eve. If your little spies have an early bedtime, they can celebrate the New Year with cities around the world at SafeHouse. Families with young children can take advantage of Blue Man Group’s early performances at 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. These shows feature early “midnight” countdowns after the show complete with party hats, noisemakers and a special performance of “Auld Lang Syne” by the Blue Men. Other festivities include pre-show face painting where children will be transformed into members of Blue Man Group’s band.
